0x8007007b Error while getting Servicestate
Hello.I'm getting this error on a few machines with W2k3 and managed by SCE 2007 SP1:Translated from German:Error while getting Service stateError: 0x8007007b Details: The Syntax for the Filename, Directoryname or volumelabel is incorrectTHe Workflow which has the problem: Microsoft.SQLServer.2005.DBEngine.FullTextSearchServiceMonitorIs there any fix for the problem?Regards Philipp

Hi,This will happen on any system that has SQL installed without the Full Text Search Engine. You can apply an override on that monitor to disable it for the systems that don't have that service installed. This is discussed in the MP guide and you can check the relevant section below: After You Import the SQL Server Management Pack, the following recommendations will help reduce unnecessary alerts. If the SQL Full Text Search service is not installed on computers running SQL Server 2005 that are being monitored, disable the monitor Microsoft.SQLServer.2005.DBEngine.FullTextSearchServiceMonitor. If the SQL Full Text Filter Daemon Launcher service is not installed on computers running SQL Server 2008 that are being monitored, disable the monitor Microsoft.SQLServer.2008.DBEngine.FullTextSearchServiceMonitor.
