977384 package missing patch
When asked to create the package for KB977384 the wizard appears to create the package and program and everything is there except the source folder \hotfix\kb977384 is empty. Shouldn't the folden contain this file below as I keep seeing it referenced by
everyone who has been successful. Suffice to say the primary has had this Hotfix installed and R3 installed apparently successfully but I do not appear to have a working package to distribute to the clients
SCCM2007ac-sp2-kb977384-x86-enu.msp
I believe I have done everything normally but I do not see the ConfigMGR power management agent on my clients

Hi,
You will need to install R3 after the patch before you can see all the new new features in the admin console.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi and thanks for responding.
R3 was installed after the hotfix was applied to the SIte server and the package and program are there but the .msp file is missing from the folder
\\hotfix\kb977384
The Power management agent is available for enabling on the Site Server but I cannot deploy the hotfix to clients because it is not creating the file "SCCM2007ac-sp2-kb977384-x86-enu.msp" in the appropriate folder I indicated above.
I have tried recreating the package and program several times and still no file for distribution appears

Hi Jim
i had a similar issue when installing the patch. i found it was because i was running the patch from a network location. once i copied the file to the local drive it ran and created the package.
if you can extract the msp file from the msi file it is possible to create the package yourself check this article
