Add Subscription Name to Notification
This is for SCOM 2007 R2.
I would like to add the Subscription Name to the Notification emails that are received.
Subscription Description would also be nice, but Subscription Name seems like a no-brainer to me. Can it be done?

If you mean that you want the subject on the recived e-mail to be the name of the subscription that sent it, I think you have to create a E-mail Notification Channel for every subscription.
Because its the channel that sets the subjectmats.w | www.opsmode.com

Isn't there a variable that can be called? Like the variable for Alert Description: $Data/Context/DataItem/AlertDescription$

Hi. The following will add the subscription id to the notification email. You have to define it in the smtp channel. It's just the id though, but you can use that id to track back to a subscription using get-notificationsubscription.
e.g. Notification subscription id generating this alert: $MPElement$Layne, 2011 Microsoft Community Contributor Recipient

Hi,
As LayneR mentioned, you can get Subscription GUID in the notification and then find the name. Please check if the command shell Get-NotificationSubscription | Where {$_.Id -eq "GUID"} will help. The detailed information is listed as below:
Is it possible to include Subscription Name in Alert Notification in SCOM 2007?
