Hi Guys, got my nice new Primary up & running & all is sweet apart from if I install an admin console on a workstation & configure for my new primary it will not connect. ive tried 2 different installs on two different workstions.The console on the primary is running ok.

this is the message I get.The ConfigMgr console could not connect to the ConfigMgr site database. Verify that this computer has network connectivity to the SMS Provider computer and that your user account has Remote Activation permissions on both the ConfigMgr site server and SMS Provider computers. Make sure your account is part of the SMS Admins group on the provider server.Also, you may want to try and add your user account as part of the distributed com users' group on the site server.-Nick-nick

Nick, done both. Im also a domain admin which is in the administratos group on the server.Ive run the wbemtest on the sms provider(Primry server) to check WMI & thats ok.

Is your site server also the provider and database server?nick
