Alert: Root Management Server Unavailable
Good Day to you all, We are using Symantec Backup Exec for our systems and i am receiving this alert every day at 6 AM "Backup time", is their any solution or workaround to disable this alert only at specific time "backup time" to avoid this alert everyday ? Alert details: Last modified time: 4/27/2012 5:19:38 PM Alert description: The root management server (Healthservice) has stopped heartbeating soon after 4/27/2012 5:19:09 PM. This adversely affects all availability calculation for the entire management group.

Use scheduled smtp channels for specific alert time windows. Get to the root of the problem though, sounds like your bandwidth is getting severely strained. Don't ever put an RMS into Maint Mode by the way.

Hi Julia, if you mean by scheduled smtp channel "created in specific time period" it won't be the solution i need because it will only run the channel from specific date to another ! This alert show up everyday 7:00 AM "Backup time" and i need to disable monitoring for this alert or even all alert at this time only by 1 hour max for example BR & Respects

Hello, If you disable the monitor, you are only hiding the problem. Try to find first the root of the issue, RMS "heart failures" :) are not good!

Hi HermanoF, I'm not trying to hide it, i know the problem We are using one RMS Server with a remote SQL Cluster Servers and i receive about 10 alerts all of them created at the same time "our backup exec server" start his jobs on this servers everyday 7:05 AM Do you have a better idea to fix this issue without disabling the alert at this time ?
