Anyone using a TV tuner?
Installed Windows 10 Preview yesterday but have been having a lot of issues installing a tv card.. I've tried using 2 different cards, a compro e750 and a dvico hdfusion, but the e750 reboots as soon as it tries to access any tv function (scanning of tv
channel) and the dvico gets a horrible pausing every 2 seconds without it actually using the tv funciton at all...
shame, i'm really loving windows 10 as the inbuilt scaling for 4k displays is soooooooooo much better than win 8.1

Is there any error before rebooting?
Report this using Feedback App.

No, nothing.. as soon as my tv app tries to connect to the tv card, instant bluescreen for about .00001 of a second before it turns to black and reboots..

About a week ago I started a thread on my TV tuner problems (Kworld USB). I can run the tuner, but when I exit the application I get a BSOD. Others reported similar problems. On the BSOD can you see the module that is generating the exception?
So far no one has reported success. This is probably a bug MS is going to have to fix.

Actually yes, that is correct.. I can scan for tv stations and view them (on 1 of the brands of my tv cards) but as soon as I go to exit the app, instant BSOD with no text.. it's probably due to the driver not being shutdown gracefully.

I try to use a Hauppauge 5500 tuner. When I start the Win TV application sometimes I have a BSOD who speak about Pagefault in nonpaged area KS.SYS and the computer reboot.

KS.SYS is also the failing module in my case. Vladddo is KS.sys the failing module in your situation also? I bet it is.
This problem seems to be affecting all older tuners. I don't think anyone has tested a 2013-2014 model.
MS moderator and tech support, have you logged this problem? it seems very consistent and reproducible.

I gave up with my PCiE Compro E750 as I did a complete reformat and it did exactly the same thing.. I bought a Playstation PlayTV which is a rebadged Pinnacle USB tuner for $20 yesterday and it's perfect... no glitches, no reboots and plays very nicely in
win 10..
I searched my event viewer and couldn't find anything specific to my reboots, other than "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

Sounds like your problem was a bit different than the rest of us. I am glad you found something that worked.

Build 9926 appears to correct this problem. I will do more testing to be sure.

First I had the same problem, then I uninstall completly WinTV software and I delete all WinTV folders, I reinstall again last version 8.0 of WinTV software. First it work fine but each time I upgrade to a new Windows 10 Technical preview version you have
to uninstall and reinstall again. It seams to me that the update to a new Windows 10 version the update breaks the WinTV application !!
