But why , the "Start approval process" workflow template missing in sharepoint 2013 workflow?

Hi Karthickr,

The Start Approval Workflow action is deprecated in SharePoint 2013. The SharePoint 2013 workflow infrastructure is built on Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) 4 and therefore executes workflows in Windows Azure. For this reason, some actions from SharePoint 2010 workflows are available in SharePoint 2013 only when using the SharePoint workflow interop.

So, are you suggesting that there is no way to create Approval Workflows in Sharepoint Designer 2013. And if there is, can you tell us how??

I guess you develop it yourself or go to sharepoint 2010 workflow or go for third party tool :)
