Archiving in share point
Hello All,The size of the content databases has increased so we have cretaed 12 content databases, few of them are more than 200 GB and few are around 100 Gb. Now the db server performance is degrading day by day, so looking for possible archiving option in share point. Also request you to provide suggestions for customized archiving possibilities in share point.

please try to shrink your dbs first, then probably apply records management to your farm to have centralized archiving

i have shrinked the db's but still the data size is aroung 1 TB. Any other archiving possibilities which can be created

First, I suggest you read the white paper about database maintenance for SharePoint:

There are some possible reasons which may cause the database grow too rapidly such as database transaction logs and audit logshttp://blogs.technet.com/damodar/archive/2009/03/12/why-a-content-database-grows-abnormally.aspx

is there any way to find when was the last date a particular site was accessed from any database tables, so that the sites which are accessed before 3 months i can archive to a different server by backup & restoring those sites
