Attach File button only shows blank page

Hello,

we have set up a Sharepoint 2013 server and are currently working on an internal ticket system. For this, we have added a List library to our Sharepoint Site. When adding new items to this library, the "Attach File" button does not work. Instead it only shows a blank webpage. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before? The advanced library settings allow attachments, so this is not the cause of this problem. The user account has Administrator rights, we have tried different browsers with different Security Settings. No luck so far...

Hi WhitewaterApps,

I havent seen such problem before. Has the new form been customized? If yes, try to use the original New Form.

If still doesnt works, could you please test it with IE 32 bit and reset all IE settings from IE > Internet Options > Security > Reset all zone to default level?

Thanks & Regards,
Emir

Hi Emir,

thanks for your fast response. We already tried different security settings with different browser - no luck so far. The form has not been customized. However, if I do so (according to many tutorials out there) and implement an own file upload, I can upload attachments via the new file upload. The "Attach File", however, does not work. Please note: The "Attach File" button also does not work with a List Library in the default (!) Sharepoint site (so its not only related to our site but across the whole server).

Another department is currently working on setting up a Sharepoint 2013 server as well. We will check if the "Attach File" button works in their setup. Maybe our installation is somehow broken...

Hi WhitewaterApps,

Or you may consider running the Configuration wizard again.

Thanks & Regards,
Emir

I am currently experiencing the exact same issue.

Did you ever find a solution? Did your other department have any luck with a different installation?

I have exact tha same issue. Sharepoint 2013, in all farm. I dont now What to do. I finde custom solution (changing the rendering mode for an individual form). But there are a lot of lists, it is not reasonable to change the editing mode for EVERY web part for every list on the farm.

Did you ever find a solution? Did your have any luck with a different installation?

Thank you in advance
