Australian Map Control
Hi, I have a client that wants a SSRS report using an Australian map, instead of say a pie chart, to represent the state based percentage data - ie: NSW would be coloured Blue and have say a tag with a data bound value of say 25%. I don't need high-end geospatial featues, just an Australian Map that I can add some simple results too. Now I perhaps could just get myself an image, and add so textboxes to it but I thought there might be something on the internet that can already do this. I just haven't found it yet. Do you know of any Australian Map controls for SSRS or means of how I can do this? As a Senior ASP .NET C# developer, with purhasing permissions, I'd rather just buy something that works, then roll my own. Cheers, Deano.

If you have SSRS 2008 R2, then you should be having the map control along with it. Then all you would be needing is a shapefile. You can check a few free ones from here http://www.mapcruzin.com/free-australia-oceania-arcgis-maps-shapefiles.htm If you dont have SSRS 2008 R2, then the next option is using Dundas Map (though I am not sure if they are marketing it anymore, as their license has expired this October, and all their existing products are only allowed to be sold through Microsoft).Cheers, Jason P.S. : Please click the 'Mark as Answer' button if a post solves your problem! :)

Thanks Jason. I also received an email from Dundas Map confirming your comments.
