        I have a Collection with 06 servers (all servers are same subnet as SCCM server) and software update group with 02 Windows Security patches (Just for testing purpose), I deployed the same with below mentioned Properties, But its taking lot of time to progress the deployment(almost 12 Hours). Its stays in unknown status for long time.

Purpose: Required

Schedule evaluation time based on client time

Software available time : ASAP

Installation Deadline: ASAP

I tried reducing the All client action cycles to 15 minutes from default 60mins

Someone please help in this

Hi,

The client needs to report back which updates it needs before they are deployed, so the "Software Update Scan Cycle" on the servers should be the one that you start by kicking off so that they can report in.  Start by verifying that the software updates switch from "unknown" to requred in the console before you continue troubleshooting.

Thanks Jorgen, I chnaged the client actions settings to 15Minutes already. Hope all the cycles will be refreshed for every mintues, but still I'm having this problem

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
