BroadCom Nic weirdness and OSD
I am having a weird issue with SCCM 2007 r2/Sp2 and OSD.
I just started using OSD to deploy Server 2008 R2, when we deploy the image to a Dell m610,r610 or r710 the brodcom nics end up with names like this:
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #40
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #12
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #35
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #37
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #38
Broadcom BCM5709S NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) #39
I am concerned that they are numbered this way but I am also seeing an issue in the iSCSI initiator when looking for the NICS.
Two of the NICS actually do not show up in the list.
Anyone seen any issues with Broadcom Cards and OSD?
I am applying a driver package with the specific Broadcom driver I need,
I am not using autodetect. Any idea how these numbers get assigned?
Thanks

Could it be, that the NIC was listed as an unknown device at the time of image capture! Are you capturing from Hardware?? if so try and capture your image of a virtual machine, and always make sure not to have any unknown devises at the time of captureMichael Petersen http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/
