Why don't you turn this around and post your CV online somewhere (not here, MS team will most likely remove the post) and ask for comments from everyone.http://www.enhansoft.com/

Name: Sachin KapoorAddress: [insert address here]Contact" [insert phone number & non-work email address here]Executive SummaryWrite something here about your career. Keep it short. Most people that read CV's don't even look past the first page. This is your short paragraph to grab their attention. eg. [insert name here] is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer/Enterprise Administrator specializing in IT consultancy. [insert name here] primary area of expertise is desktop deployment and systems management solutions. [insert name here] has extensive experience in Systems Center Configuration Manager, Systems Center Operations Manager, SOE/MOE design, automated deployment and infrastructure monitoring. [insert name here] has 12 years IT industry experience, and comes from a background of IT consulting, network administration and deep technical support. Career ObjectivesThis gives the reader an idea if you'll suite the company. Do your career objectives line up with the role you are going for?eg.To work in a challengening and rewarding environment with people who have a passion for technology. My personal goal is to build scaleable infrastructure management solutions that drive business growth.Professional Development[insert list of certs & degrees here]eg. · MCITP (Windows 7, Enterprise Administrator) · MCTS (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, SCOM, SCCM) · MCP, MCSA, MCSE (Windows NT4 & Windows 2003) · Diploma of Information Technology (PC and Network User Technical Support) · Certificate IV of Information Technology (PC Support) · Certificate IV of Information Technology (Network Support) Employment HistoryDo a small table - this is a brief points list of your recent jobs. eg. Mar 2008 – Current Consultant(Professional Services) [insert company here] Jan 2006 – Feb 2008 IT Consultant (Infrastructure & Security) [insert company here] Oct 2003 – Jan 2006 ITS Lead (Asia Pacific Region) [insert company here] Sep 2002 – Aug 2003 Network Administrator [insert company here] etc etc etc Now - keep in mind all of the above ^^^ - is on the FIRST page. That way, the person reading it knows (without turning a page), pretty much who you are, your skills, your objectives, and your last few jobs. Then, on the subsequent pages - write your key responsibilities and flesh out what you did in each role. Keep it simple though - don't write paragraphs of what you did. Bullet point it.eg.Key Responsibilities [insert company here] [insert company url here] Consultant (Professional Services ) (Permanent) Mar 2008 – Current Employed as a Consultant for [company name] [insert name here] implemented project solutions to agreed timelines, budgets and defined standards. These responsibilities included: Project delivery Gathering requirements in consultation with solutions architects as required Defining, compiling and documenting high level and detailed design project documents Act as an escalation point for implementation and design issues Development and maintenance of solution and site documentation Produce, manage and adhere to technical documentation. Eg: site schematics, change control, site audits Liaise with customers to perform incident analysis and problem resolution management, to required service targets, defining and recommending solutions where no precedent solution is available Demonstrate strong communication skills ensuring that verbal and written responses when dealing with customers and other team members are relevant, clear, complete and logical Accurately and consistently perform general administration and management of job logging functions Assess and evaluate risk and understand the implications of new technologies Actively identify potential business opportunities within customer sites and report to Project Manager / Solution Sales Specialist Proactively acquire and share market intelligence with relevant ICTS team members, to clearly differentiate ICTS from the competition Develop and Maintain deep expertise and certifications in selected products and solutions sets Do it up in Word 2007 using modern fonts, keep the formatting nice and presentable. Also don't use too many fonts. One or two fonts at the most.At the end, include a list of referee's. I've found it's better not to include the referee's phone number - only their name, position, and company. That way if makes the employer call you for the phone number. This lets you know they're interested in you, plus it gives you a chance to give your referee a heads up that someone will be calling them./your welcome :)And I lol'ed at that google link - I'm going to recycle that...http://www.dreamension.net
