Can't Access Document Library
I've had kind of a weird issue today and I was hoping maybe someone had had the same problem and could help me out. I have a document library that contains over 24,000 documents. It is showing in the View All Site Content Page, and it shows
how many items are in the document library. When you click on the document library it takes you to a page with the document library name, but otherwise blank. There's no way to access documents, or permissions. There's just nothing there!
We know that the files are still there, because links to the files on other pages still work. We just can't access the library. A user says it was working earlier this morning, but then stopped about 40 minutes ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Seems to be some kind of permission issue. Have you tried accessing the Document Library from the Site Collection Administrator login? Thanks & Regards,

I had the issue like that before with a lot of folders in Document Library. I had >200000 documents in document library and folders for every year/month/day. The page was failed with a timeout. I moved documents to smaller Document Libraries
and it helped.Oleg

Is it possible that someone changed the default view so that it doesn't show anything? Can you create a new view?
What about opening with windows explorer? Does that show the docs?--Paul Galvin, Computer Generated Solutions (CGS)
