Can't connect to SSRS from my workstation
I am the DBA (with little SSRS experience) and I have server admin privs on the server. We are running SQL 2008 R2 (base) on the DB server. Reporting Services was installed on the same server as SQL. We took the SSRS default configuration at installation time. I can connect to Reporting Services if I connect to the server as an admin, start SSMS, connect to Reporting Services, enter in the server name, and select Windows Authentication. I can make any changes I need to. I can also start Reporting Services Configuration Manager on the server and do what needs to be done. From my workstation, I right click SSMS and click Run As Administrator. I try and connect to Reporting Services using Windows Authentication and no matter if I enter in the <server name> or http://<server name>/ReportServer, it errors. I get an error that says it is "Unable to connect to the server...URL may be bad...". My workstation is running the SQL 2008 R2 SP1 client. I have logged onto the server running SQL and SSRS (as an admin) and connected to SSRS and validated the URL in Properties. I have 2 other SSRS installs that I can connect to from my workstation via SSMS and by placing http://<server name>/ReportServer in the server name. What am I missing with this one? It is security related but I don't know what I have to change to correct this. Has anyone seen this before that would be willing to share?
