I have a distribution point that appears to be hung up on the default Configuration Manager Client Package.  In constantly stays in the status "In Progress" and the "Remove" button is greyed out to remove the package from the DP and updating the package source does NOT fix it either.

Did you check the distmgr.log for any errors?

I am having a similar issue.  I am trying to deploy the Configuration Manager Client package to another distribution point and it just reports In Progress.  When I review the package properties I can not even "Remove" the Dp from the list.

I have review my logs any nothing appears to standing out why the package is not getting to the DP.  I see the staging of the packaging on the DP under the .inbox folder.

Were you able to find a solution to this?

The log on my DP where the package needs to be assigned show the following:

Hi.

I am having exact same issue, unable to remove the Configuration Manager Client Package from DP. Remove is greyed out. Only able to "validate" and "Redistribute" package. Did Redistribute however the package stays "In progress" within Content Status.

First the Client Manager Package Client is an build in package like the Client Upgerade package which is not visible in the Admin Console.

1) Does the site server from where the contant was send[ Primary Server etc] have permissiojn in the DP?.
On the DP the Site server must be in the local Administration group.

2) did you try to restart the DP Server?. Permission etc. will be then update?.
