Hi, I've just tried and the site is still down. Can someone look why it's always going down? Thksjoeblow

Yep still down... how frustrating!! Been on the phone to MS support and they have sent me the password which is a+#vRsd$YM. I dont know whether that will work for everyone or not but there you go. Now, I have managed to install this on my primary site server, but not been able to on my xp clients as per the " Administrator Checklist for Power Management" walkthrough in the SCCM help file. It asks you to install KB977384 on all clients in the hierarchy ; "Use software distribution to install the client hotfix on computers in your hierarchy." Unfortunately when I attempt to install this I recieve the error "This package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer patch package." Exit Code1636 is returned. The clients are Windows XP INC SP3 and this has worked fine on a Windows 7 OS. What is this issue? I have raised a call with MS, so I will update you all.

it seems that the official command line error is New error = The hotfix does not match the installed language version of configuration manager 2007.

Have you installed ICP1 or ICP2? If so: you'll have to wait until a new hotfix is released that will work ion ICP clients.

The system is regional in nature and thus one person may experience an outage while another may not -- I've seen this first hand by logging into a customer's system in California and being able to request a fix while I was getting a system not available message from here in Texas. Your best bet is to call CSS directly. They should not charge you to get a hotfix; they will also be able to document the issue getting to the hotfix request system also.
