Cannot connect to SharePoint 2007 Central Administration
My SharePoint Administration somehow disappeared from the Administrative Tools. Can someone please help. Saji Ijiyemi

(Mods, please move to 2007 forum) If you can still access the site via its url (typically http://server:customport) you're in luck - just recreate the link as a shortcut on the Start Menu, etc. If this is a mitli server instance, can you get to the URL on a different server? If not, the best simple approach is to rerun the products and technilogies wizard. Dont drop the server from the farm, and note that you want the server on which you run this should continue to host, or start to host, the Central Admin service. Good luck! Thanks Chris, i got to the URL from a different server (actually the server hosting the virtual server). SharePoint was installed on that virtual server. So, how do (what steps to take) i recreate the link as a shortcut on the Start Menu of the virtual server? Thanks.Saji Ijiyemi
