Paul, You are getting OutOfMemory errors. How much RAM do you have in the server? Is it running all services (SQL, Web Front End etc)? What is the memory set for the IIS Application Pool? Do you have multiple worker processes for that application pool? Andrew

Is there more than or close to 2000 records in the library (folder)? Is there big file sizes in the library (folder)?
