Cannot find Windows BackUp and Restore.
Just reinstalled Windows 7 32bit after fitting a new hard drive, everything seems OK, EXCEPT I cannot find Windows Back Up. I have tried in Control Panel, and doesn't appear under "maintenance". Seems as though it has not installed.
Can anyone help please ?? uptonhowitt.Richard Howitt

Hi,
You can input “backup and restore” in search box and see if this components exist or not.
Furthermore, please go to services.msc and check Windows Backup service is started.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried your suggestions, "backup and restore" in the search box shows an entry on the search result page for "backup and restore" but there is no response when I click it.
services.msc shows an item for "Windows Backup", Status "started", Log on type "Automatic"
I have checked around again and there is noway I can find to start Windows Backup and Restore. uptonhowitt.Richard Howitt

Hi,
That seem some components has broken on your Windows 7. Try to use an in-place upgrade to fix it:
