Check in Documents
I have documents in my Document Library tagged with various meta-data. I first check-out the document. I then edit the document in MS Word. When I click the Check-in button, it asks for a version history. After i type (or not) something
in, i close Word, and go back to Share Point. Most (but not all) of the meta-data tags have been wiped out. Any ideas? Thanks

Sharepoint 2003. Not sure of the version.
Word 2003
I've discovered/tested/found that Word is wiping away the Meta-data on fields with the Drop Down Menu Box. It keeps/saves the values with a checkbox or free form text, or multi-select, but a single choice drop down, it wipes away.
After I open in Word, I go and view the properties and see the values are blank.
