Column Header for Matrix Report
I have a matrix report, which looks like the following:
HeaderCHeader D
Column A Column B Column C ColumnD
Column A and B are Row Group columns in the matrix. Column C and D are the details columns. How can I add column header to column A and B. Seems I cannot do it in Reporting Services 2005.

Yes, you can not able to achieve this with Matrices currently and we arehoping to make it possible in our next release.
Workaround: Now you can get this withplacing text boxes in the corner of the Matrix which aligns to these cloumns make it give a similar look.

Is there a fix out for this yet? The suggested workaround is OK, but when the file is exported to excel the headers are merged into one cell, eliminating the ability to filter.
Thanks

You can do, just need add more report componets on the report and manualy adjust the layout.
1. Drag and drop a rectangle componet to the first cell of the matrix
2. Drag and drop two textbox components into rectangle, set cangrow to false(also need set cangrow=false to Header C and Header D)
3. Change caption for those two textbox, then adjust the width and height.

Try also using a table inside a rectangle on the matrix corner only with the header row.
Adjust the header row to have the size ,number and styleof the columns of the matrix.

By adding a column headers manually using text box. we can easily achieve the functionality but partially because those manually added headers are not repeating on every page is there any solution to it
