Hi!
I have come across an interresting problem that I really need some help with. In our environment, for some unknown reason computer objects in SCCM 2007 SP2 disappears randomly from the console. It can happen to computers that have been in the system for a couple of weeks and months but also to computer objects created just yesterday. I first noticed this on a computer where RAP was totaly greyed out. So I trigged some actions in Config Manager client but nothing happend. Checked the execmgr.log file and it showed me that all policies was deleted. Hmm...Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the SCCM client (ver 4.00 SP2) but that didn´t help either. Ok, I then tried to rebuild the machine but discovered that I couldn´t PXE boot anymore. So I checked the collection to where the OSD TS is advertised and found out the the computer object was missing in the collection. Completly gone. Couldn´t even find it in "All Systems" on the primary server the client "belongs to". Can´t remember if the computer object was still present in the "All Systems" on the central site but I will check that further (I have created some dummy objects that I´m keeping an eye on...). So how can this happen?
I have checked the maintanence tasks to see if one of those are the reason for this but it doesn´t seem like that. There is no task set to delete anything just after one or two days.
I´m wondering if anyone has seen this behaviour before? And is there a log file that records computer object deletion (both manually deletion and system deletion) or some kind of system status that I can check?
Thanks /Niclas
