Configuration Manger Is busy running another program
I am doing manually prompted software distribution Installation . The program prompts at Run advertised programs at the client machine but after starting that the message comes
'Configuration manger is busy running another program or a reboot is in progress "
I have checked that it was still coming even when there was no other client was getting software distribution advertisements .
Is there any restrictions regarding number of clients getting software Distribution in SCCM . If not why i am getting this message .

Regards
Dharm

See execmgr.log on the client. It should tell you if there's another SCCM-initiated software installation running.

Another installation is in progress according to the logs (Firefox). Maybethere's a popup (in system context and therefore not visible on the desktop) waiting for user input. Check the running processes in taskmanager and end the firefox related.

Correct, the log says Firefox is running. Maybe it was an assigned program, thus you didn't see it start but it is running and we only run one program at a time - regardless of whether or not the programs are assigned or optional.

It worked for me. I've checked the execmgr.log, found the process It was running and stopping the other advertisement, then I opened the taskmanager in the client and kill the process. Tks a lot Torsten.
