Hi

i have created a page with some webparts. Now i want to use this same page as basic for other pages so i want to use this page as a sort of template. I tried copy & paste from sharepoint designer. The page is copied but the webpart is not. I also tried usingthe explorer view in Sharepoint but that also did not do the job ( i can't copy to the same pages library)

On the page you want to make a template of, select Site Actions - Site Settings, then select Save site as template. When the Save site as template page appears you should see a checkbox to "include content". If you check this, any list, libraries, or web parts will be saved in the new template.

You can copy pages using the "Content and Structure" tool, but not to the same pages list.

Go to SiteActions -> Site Settings -> Manage Content and Structure. Navigate to the pages list. Copy the page to a different pages list. Rename the original page. Move the copied page back to the original pages list. The context menu should have move and copy options if the page has atleast one checked in version

Is the access to the link to save sites as templates only available if you are the administrator of the "sites collection"?

Few months ago , I had requirement of copy sharepoint 2007 pages to sharepoint 2013 site in my migration project.And this application is running out of sharepoint server so i have to use sharepoint services.I have used copy-service for this requirement.It will only copy static content of page not other webparts content.
