Copy view to include personalize view settings
We're wanting to establish some standard views in the monitoring tab for all operators to use (independent of the My Workspace views).
I would like to be able to create multiple alert views having different select conditions, yet having the same personalized view (columns to display, sort order, column order, etc.). I was hoping that simply copying an existing view would preserve such,
but it doesn't appear to.
How can I avoid having to go through so many steps to personalize each view?
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Also, anyone else discover that personalizing the view via properties/display (tab) often doesn't make any changes; whereas via "personalize view" does appear to?
Thanks.-- Gerry O'Brennan (Missouri Univ of Science and Tech)

Hi
Personalise sadly means precisely that. For views in sealed management packs, users get the default settings. Everyone can personalise it but you can't change it for them. It is a pain, especially as items such as repeat count are extremely useful. If you
are authoring your own views then you can set the defaults but otherwise you are limited in what you can do.
Note - with regard to this question - "Also, anyone else discover that personalizing the view via properties/display (tab) often doesn't make any changes; whereas via "personalize view" does appear to?"
If you change the display options on the properties tab, then go into personalise view and hit "Reset to default" then you'll see the new properties added to your view.

Thanks for the quick response and additional information Graham.
Ah, so the properties tab is for setting the default view (if not over-ridden by personalized view). Super, good to know.
