Dashboard views as reports?

Hey, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I am trying to get a "quick glance" report made (or found) for SCCM 2012 for Software Updates.  This report would, ideally, start with the Dashboard view of Deployments, and THEN have the reporting info.  This way, once a server update has been pushed to servers, the other admins would get the report the next day and it would start with a green (everything installed, no errors), yellow (unknown/in process), or red (errors ocured) pie chart. All green = all good, or green with some red = one or two issues, etc, If there was red or yellow, they would then know to look further down in the reportto find out what happened, but if all green, they could just close the email and be done with it.

I have figured out a little of editing on existing reports, but I am by no stretch of the imagination an SQL guy to be able to build this up from nothing in SRSS.  I am hoping for either an easy to follow tutorial, but am willing to look at an existing product I can buy to build the reports (freeware prefered, but let's be real). I am not looking for a third party app such as Silect that would have me pay additional fees on top of the SCCM licensing.

So you have a better idea as to what I am looking for, see the following combined, and wanting to find a quick answer/solution.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

So this is clearly a custom report/dashboard as such this is something that you will need to create yourself.
