Data Warehouse troubles on secondary management server
We have a single-server Operations Manager 2012 which is upgraded from 2007. I am now trying to add a second Management Server for redundancy. I get the secondary management server installed, but i get alot of Data Warehouse errors after a couple of minutes. All the error messages just about says the same: Performance data collection process unable to write data to the Data Warehouse. Failed to store data in the Data Warehouse. The operation will be retried.Exception 'SqlException': Management Group with id '661BC249-9404-A135-DB39-89E242A0B575' is not allowed to access Data Warehouse under login 'Username of the Management Server Action Account' Is the management server supposed to connect to the Data Warehouse using its action account? I also tried to use 'Local System' as the action account on the secondary management server, with the same result. I spesified the 'DataReaderUser' and the 'DataWriterUser' in the installation, but that did not work. Im sure its just a user right or a run as account thats missing or not configured, but I dont know where to continue troubleshooting.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735419.aspx There's a data warehouse writer action account, but this could be the same as the default action account on the rms. It just depends what accounts you've supplied during install. Rob Korving http://jama00.wordpress.com/

I figured it out. I had to configure my Run As profiles regarding the Data Warehouse Accounts KB article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945946

I have a Data Warehouse Writer and a Data Warehouse Reader account configured for the first Management Server. This works fine. I supplied these accounts to the installation of the second Management Server, but it still tries to write to the Data Warehouse using its action account.
