Hi, I have setup a HR database connection with FIM and for some reason it keeps pushing the data back to FIM which is not correct. First of all, I would like to know where the rules were setup, as I should be using employee id only. Now I change the employee id, but I am still getting the same result pushing from the HR database. Besides, the next thing that I want to ask is if the record already exists in FIM, how can I remove it completely if I have to? Thanks

If you have data in HR and it is already in the FIM portal, then you should import and sync from the FIM MA first to project these objects to the MV, where the objects in the HR connector space can join to them. If you project first from the HR MA, the FIM MA is only able to join on MVObjectID and CSObjectID, which won't be there, of course, and it will attempt to re-provision the objects. The only other options is to disable the object mapping for these objects in FIM MA, but you will still ultimately have problem with objects in portal now joining to objects already in MV. If records exist in FIM portal and you want to remove them, you should be able to directly remove them from portal logged in as FIM admin.
