Delete primary child site from the site hierarchy
Dear all,
We have 2 primary sites in our environment, but one of the servers crashed and I had to rebuild it from scratch. I am doing a fresh installation know. The question is how I can delete the primary child site from the site hierarchy, if the server does not exist.
Regards,
Mohammed

SMS related questions should be posted to the SMS newsgroups (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sms/bb839598.aspx), because this forum is for ConfigMgr related questions. BTW: the article also applies to SMS.

Remove address for old server in the console.Use the hierarchy manager tool, preinst. Run the command "preinst /delsite DeletedSiteCode ParentSiteCode". Preinst is usually located in C:\sms\bin\i386\00000409.You should also run "preinst /deljob DletedSiteCode" to delete any pending jobs.
