Deploy Win7 task sequence fails during OS apply?

Hi folks,

I've recently installed SCCM 2012 R2 (first time user), and ran a Build and Capture task sequence successfully.
I now created a deploy existing image task sequence and it fails during Applying OS part of task sequence.

I noticed when I collected the smsts.log from the client (VM), I had lost my IP address.  I was able to renew it, but maybe has something to do with failure?

Created my task sequence like this.

I've attached pics of errors in log and configuration.

Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks,

romatlo

It states that the download and verify hash step has failed. Try updating the content for your OS Image to your DPs again. Make sure on the monitoring tab that the content has reached all desired DPs successfully.

Thanks Dustin, I just updated content, says it's all there.

I just tried to deploy the default install.wim from Win7 DVD but failed with the same error.

I will keep testing.  Thanks.

have you set up a Network Access account and assigned rights?

It certainly looks like something dodgy happened during the sequence.

80072efe = The connection with the server was terminated abnormally

This makes sense when you consider that you lost your IP address.

80070002 = The system cannot find the file specified.

It wouldn't be able to without a network connection

Try different hardware using a different network port.

Thanks for responses folks.

Gerry, I've been living in your web pages for weeks. Excellent material by the way.

I finally found my problem.

My DHCP lease time was set to 5 minutes (from other testing).
I changed it to 8 hours and working now!

I guess this did not affect me during build and capture, but did on deploy.
I will close this thread.
