Disable Restrictions
Is there any way to temporarily disable account restrictions to make account changes other than editing the Restriction Tabs again?
Example: I have Custom "Window Restrictions" and "FeatureRestrictions" on an Account. I need tomake a desktop changewhich is currently restricted. How can I turn off the restrictions so Ican make the change? It appears to me I only have two options. I need to know exactly which restrictions to remove and then put them back once the changes have been made or I need to select No Restrictions and redo my Custom Restriction after the changes are made.
Is there no way to say " disable these restriction until logoff?

Hi,
You can use the Export function to save the profile restrictions. Once they're saved, you can open the user and select No Restrictions, then log on as that user and make whatever changes you need to make. When you're finished, log off and log back on as admin, then import the previously exported profile using the same user name.

Have you actually tried this?
After importing the user, logging in as the user produces a "Windows 2000" type look. Start menu is all gray, with a blue empty desktop background.
If I need to make changes to a user profile, how do I this when I am using "Custom Restrictions" ?? It seems that Custom Restrictions isn't saved the same way High, Medium, Low are. I understand the concept of exporting the user to save its custom restrictions, selecting no restrictions to make changes, but once i try to import the "custom restrictioned" user, and log in, it appears totally different as described above.

yes I played around with this feature as well, I get the same ugly grey start menu, as if the "allow only classic start menu" option was enabled. After that i have to redo the profile all over again by deleting the user profile, deleting its .orig folder in the "doc & settings", then REcreating the user profile and do it all over again Currently the problem is we have to logg off the current "RESTRICTED" user profile, login as the administrator account,UNrestrict that restriced profile,Log off the admin accountRE login as the restricted profile,Do the adjustments,Logg off the restricted profile again, (often at this point i have to restart the com, as the restricted profile would be locked due to files still in use)Logg in as the admin profile again, and RErestrict the restricted profile again.
