Discovery No Longer Working
I was getting the common error about "Source Module could not find a performance counter relted to one of the health services, so I selected override, but now when I try to run discovery for new clients, it never finds anything. It just keeps searching and searching. I'm not 100% sure that is what caused it, but even when I look up the particular health service, it shows that it is enabled and appears to be running. I am not also getting an error about Root Management server unavailable. I'm hoping I didn't hose my SCE server as I already had to rebuild this once. Is there not a roll back feature? Has anyone else come across these problems? Thanks in advance.

Hi,Please try the following Steps to clear the Health Service Store cache from the server:1. Goto services.msc2. stop OpsMgr Health Service3. stop OpsMgr Config Service4. Stop OpsMgr SDK Service5. Rename the folder 'C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Health Service State\Health Service Store' to 'C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Health Service State\Health Service Store_bkp'6. Start OpsMgr SDK Service7. Start OpsMgr Config Service8. Start OpsMgr Health ServiceOnce the service has started normally and pulled all information, you can delete the folder 'Health Service Store_bkp'

Thanks for the response Eric.I followed the steps and tried again and am still not getting any results. Discovery just searches and searches, never completing or finding anything?Should I just reinstall? How will this affect existing clients/agents is so?

Hi, You can delete these clients from SCE before re-installation, after new-installation, you can run the wizard to detect them and deploy the agent again
