Hey Can someone point to more detail on configuring document conversion? I'd like to automate word document conversion to pdf/a for archiving. Is document conversion available in WSS3, or only in MOSS? Cheers!

Hi!First of all, I am not an expert on document conversion, but I know that much that it has it limitations.The document conversion really converts the document, meaning that it does not create a pdf copy of the document and keeps the original document in its original format. You'll loose your original document format. Will that be OK with you?If not, I would suggest that you takea look at third party solutions. Hi, You could get detailed configuration steps in Document conversions (Office SharePoint Server) (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261748.aspx) However, your goal could not be achieved by OOB Document Conversion because converting Word document to PDF is not included in OOB feature and document conversion available in MOSS 2007 only.
