Hi all, I have installed the version System Center Configuration Manager Versión: 4.00.6221.1000 with sp1.I have also installed International Client Pack (ICP) to can view in spanish the agent of the computers. I want to update my site with sp2, i have only one server. I go to dowload sp2 of sccm but, can i have a problems because i have deployed icp¿? or this is not a problem. Any advice before installing¿? Thanks.

Ok i have some doubts. I explain my procedure. 1º)I make a backup of the site server. 2º)I update the server with windows updates and sql updates 3º)I disable the antivirus software. 4º)I update wsus to 3.0 sp2 and i wait some minutes 5º)I Uninstall windows AIK from the sms provider 6º)I backup the customized boot images (just i save the .iso file) 7º)I dont disable sql replication because sql its not clustered 8º)I run prerequisite checker 9º)¿I start the prerequisite component update checker? 10º)I wait some time 11º)I reboot system 12º)I install MDT 2010 because i deploy imagenes 13º)I reenable my antivirus software 14º)I have also installed ICP in all the client computers to view in spanish language. For that i need to upgrade al ICP in all clients.For this i need only execute in the site server the ConfigMgr07SP2Retail_RTM_ICP1_6487.exe My doubts: The 5 point. Its neccesary to uninstall AIK? Its necessary to uninstall it on my site server (i have only one site server) The 9 point. The prerequisite component update checker. Its necesary to start it? The 14 pint. To upgrade ICP i need only executes it in the site server. This upgrade all client computers? Finally doubt, in the client computers i need to distribute a new client agent? Please, help. #5: WAIK should be uninstalled before upgrading to SP2 (SP2 itself is supposed to do that automatically, but could fail in some circumstances) #9: you can download the prereq files first or let the setup routine download them during the upgrade #14: client are never upgraded automatically, so you must upgrade SP and ICP an them "manually" (using sw dist for example)

I saw the following post. I'm in the same situation. I need to update the site server to SP2. But I have the following doubt. I have 2000 clients and WAN links and need to split the deployment of the client While clients computer have the previous client version. they connect to the server site? Can You take remote control of computers with the previous client version? Thanks all
