Editing item in Word
hi, I 've create a document library wich deal with a custom content type i've created in the site. My problem is when i' click on edit in word in the menu i have to click every time in word in Menu -Prepare-Properties to see meta-data on this document. So my question is how to see directly the méta-data of this content type with out doing all this. The only content type defined on this library is my custom content type. Thank you for answerABT

Hi kitano,\\ Always show Document Information Panel on document open and initial save for this content typeSite Settings > Site Content Type Gallery > Site Content Type > Document Information Panel Settings > Click the Checkbox for Always show Document Information Panel on document open and initial save for this content type\\ Also, if you are still using Office 2003 you should create an infopath Information Panel (Office 2003 doesnt offer the same information panel settings)Site Settings > Site Content Type Gallery > Site Content Type > Document Information Panel Settings > Create New Custom template (XSN) to use...Cheers,-IvanIvan Sanders My LinkedIn Profile, My Blog, @iasanders.
