I have configured email for my test SP 2007 setup. I am using Exch 2010 and I setup a separate OU for the SP contacts. I then setup a few SP websites to receive email. The correct contact appeared in the correct OU in AD. Then I used Outlook 2007 to send an email to the webpage enabled for email. The email went to Exchange, no errors or problems. BUT the email it not showing up at the website it is configured on. What am I missing??

As i remember , you have to allow the application pool account the Full rights on the Email drop folder (inetpub\mailroot\drop) . I did what you suggested. Did not improve anything.

What are you referring to when you mention "WFE?" When I set up a SP site to receive email the contact shows up in AD in the correct OU and the contact also shows up in Exchange. I can send an email without error but the email does not get the the sp site.

Hi Myrt Webb, Did you create a send connector on your Exchange 2010? If not, please create a send connector and add your WFE as the smart host. Then check the effect. Navigate to the drop folder on the WFE, after you send an e-mail from your Outlook, make sure the e-mail appears in the drop folder then disappears. If it doesn’t appear, it means your Exchange server doesn’t know how to send the e-mail to your WFE.
