Hi ddasgupta,I found the same problem in my sharepoint farm... after 2 days "googling" for an answer, then it seems that I've found the answer:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973410"After you install Office SharePoint Server 2007 Service Pack 2, you receive a null reference exception when you try to visit the SiteSubs.aspx page."I hope this can help us...Cheers

That's because some nob either removed it or hasn't added it yet. Check 974086. The August CU for WSS3 is supposed to correct this.
973410 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973410/ ) Description of the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Cumulative Update Server Hotfix Package (Sts.msp): August 25, 2009If at first you don't succeed, ask an MVP. Or find someone who really knows. ;)

It seems that Microsoft has moved all the links. The global description of the Cumulative update hotfix of August 2009 is in this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974982/en-usbut the "sublinks" doesn't seem to work.We have verified that this fix resolves the problem.

Our SharePoint Server 2007 farm is exhibiting the exception when User Alerts is selected at the Site Collection Level.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.SiteSubsPage.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)
A couple of questions:1) The link above references a number of updates - which one specifically addresses the issue with user alerts?2) If you are running SharePoint Server 2007 and there exist hotfixes for both WSS 3.0 and SharePoint Server 2007- do you install both hotfixes or just the one for SharePoint Server 2007?ThanksNikos
