Error when launching Operations Manager Console
Hi,
I've been trying to set up System Center 2012 RTM for evaluation purposes, but am consistently getting an error when Operations Manager opens and tries to connect to my Management Server; the error message says that "Operations Manager has encountered
an error. http://tempuri.org/IMonitoringDataWarehouseService/...". The additional information for the error reads as follows:
Date: 5/2/2012 4:38:51 PM
Application: Operations Manager
Application Version: 7.0.8560.0
Severity: Error
Message: Operations Manager has encountered an error.

My current setup is as follows:
Machine 1: Service Manager (Management Server), App Controller, Virtual Machine Manager, SQL Server 2008 R2 (used for all databases required by SC)
Machine 2: Service Manager (Data Warehouse Management Server)
Also, I have registered the Service Manager with the DW. Does anyone know what the above error might indicate?
Thanks

tempuri(dot)org is a default WCF namespace. It looks like a .Net or OS issue. You might need to reinstall .Net or a whole OS...http://OpsMgr.ru/

Hi,
Would you please let us know if there were any changes before the issue occurred? Meanwhile, please check the Event Log on the server and see if there are any related errors.
Thanks.Nicholas Li

Hi - thanks to both of you for replying. I eventually started from scratch but this time, launched SCOM2012 on a clean machine and selected all components (Management Server, Operations Console, Web Console, Reporting Server) and all seems well now. Before,
I was trying to install only the Operations Console via the SCOM 2012 installer, and the Management Server from the SCSM 2012 installer. Presumably installing everything from the SCOM installer does some additional configuration.
Thanks.
