Export to excel and word failing
Hi!
We are using Reporting services to generate reports to our users. Exporting to Excel is a much needed functionality.
This has never been a problem until now. Exporting to pdf, csv or tiff is no problem and works fine, but suddenly when trying export to Excel or Word the browser tells me that 'Internet Explorer can not display the webpage'
My first thought was that my credentials doesn't allow this action. But I'm not sure. Why does this suddenly happend and what to do about it?
Any thoughts around this?

Hi Taaris,
From your description, the error message Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage was received when exporting reports to Excel format from Report Manager.
Based on your scenario, I suggest that you try a different version of the Internet Explorer or a third part browser. Meanwhile, you can try to export the reports to Excel from Business Intelligence Development Studio directly.
If the issue persists, please post the logs of the SQL Server Reporting Service for further analysis. We can get the logs from
<Install Driver>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles.

Hi,
when you open the export dropdown list and click on the exwcel option, does it first open a new IE window and then receive a file download dialog window with open, save or cancel?
