FIM/ILM2 supported on virtualized machines?
Hi. I'm trying to find out if FIM/ILM2 is, or in nearest future will be, supported on virtualized machines. Searching the web and this forums did not give a clear answer. We will be setting up an implementation and need to know if we can use virtual machines or perhaps need to dedicate physical machines. We are planing on using VMWare. Would appreciate any tips or info. Thank you.

Does anyone have a link to documentation where it clearly states that FIM 2010 will be supported while running in Hyper-V or another SVVP platform? I've had a look around, starting with the link provided above, but I haven't found any definite statement to that effect.Thanks.Marc Mac Donell, ILM MVP, Senior Consultant (Identity Assurance), Avaleris Inc.

Marc, since FIM is still in Beta, you won't be able to find anything in conjunction with this in the official support lists. However, you can take the fact that Brjann has checked Eric's response off as answered as an official statement.Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation
