FIM Portal 'Service not available'
Hi,
So the FIM environment was setup with AD in one VM and FIM, SQL, WSS in another VM. We created users in the FIM Portal, configured MAs and populated AD with new users. Then we wanted to provision some new users in the FIM Portal, from accounts we had created
in AD. we ran the Run Profiles and the FIM Portal crashed.
Whenever we try connecting to FIM Portal it says 'Service not available' and the URL redirects to
http://localhost/_layouts/MSILM2/ErrorPage.aspx?ErrorCode=3000 )
why the sudden crash? when everything in the Portal was working?

Can you still access the portal with the FIM Administrator account? Suspect what's happened is that you've somehow changed the domain name in the portal ... but there are a number of scenarios which could have done this - see
here. The reason I suspect domain name is that I did this once myself.

well at this stage I only have the FIM Admin account - so the admin cannot connect to the portal.
The FIM services are running. The IIS application pools are all started. i can log into the Sharepoint central Admin site. I have reinstalled (using the repair option) the FIM Portal.
The problem still exists, however.

OK, sorry - FIM Portal is not working as expected ;-)
so I enabled the stack stuff and the new error message is: "Unable to process your request"
