When I run it, it says "FIM is not installed on this computer", which isn't true. Any clues?

Did you ran it on the server having the FIM Synchronisation serivce installed? As this script is not meant to be ran on the FIM Service server. Perhaps you need to run it as administrator? http://setspn.blogspot.com
