FIM Service MA problem
Hello, having a problem with creation of a FIM Service MA. I'm going through the steps from this article: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/648.how-do-i-synchronize-users-from-active-directory-domain-services-to-fim.aspx I get to the part on creating the MA, and then configuring the attribute flow, clicking next and am greeted with the following error: --------------------------- Synchronization Service Manager --------------------------- Export Attribute Flow validation error: 'displayName' of 'detectedRuleEntry' is no longer available. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- I'm not seeing anything in the event logs, and I've searched for most of the day on this error. I have no idea where to go next, if anyone has an idea it would be appreciated. Running Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 w/ FIM 2010 CU2. Thanks!

As I've been looking through the Metaverse Objects, the field displayName does not exist, however DisplayName does exist. Perhaps this is my problem, I'll keep working on it and reply with anything I find.

You should not be setting up detected rule entry attributes. Did you select "user" as an object type? Exactly what section of the page are you on?Alex Trusler Software Developer

Strange "displayName" (without the capital D) is the default attribute that is available, when you have DisplayName it indeed can behave differently, did you delete this attribute? I would advise adding it again since this attribute is used everywhere (for instance where references are used)Need realtime FIM synchronization and advanced reporting? check out the new http://www.imsequencer.com that supports FIM 2010, Omada Identity Manager, SQL, File, AD or Powershell real time synchronization!
