FIM Update 1
Hi,
From what I understand FIM Update 1 is available as part of Windows Updates as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978864...however I am sitting on th FIM Sync & Portal server and keep running Windows Updates, but still cannot see FIM Update 1.
I have also tried the Windows Catalog site...I can see the downloads, and I add them to the basket. but when I try to download them, I get this error message: "We are unable to display the requested page"
Is there another location that we can download just the Update 1 executable?
Thanks

just out of curiosity, I had a Text File MA, and after I installed Update 1, the File MA was no longer there...magically removed itself somehow

That's not supposed to happen. I haven't seen it here myself...
Anything in the event log?http://setspn.blogspot.com

I have been troubleshooting and trying to get the basics of FIM working for months now...there unfortunately is very little guidance online as to how to get the basics working.
So no, I havent looked at the event logs - just recreated the File MA (using the same guide as above) but this time it did not work.
So I reverted my hyper-v images to an earlier snapshot, and started again from the beginning. Now I am getting sync-rule-provisioning errors...but that's another thread on this forum.
I am seriously considering looking at other vendors' IDM solutions - the MS product is extremely complicated.
