have installed OS 3-4 times on client computer using SCCM 2007. But when i boot the client again VIA cd to SCCM 2007 it gives me an error : Failed to run Task sequenceThere are no task sequences available for this computer If i go to that client computer record click on properties and select adverstisements i can see4 task sequences that i assinged to this computer. Here's the Screenshot of that : Now many people will say right click on the client computer and select clear Last PXE advertisment. I never booted via PXE then i think there is no need of selecting this option. But still for your convenience i selected clear Last PXE advertisment & there are no PXE adverstisements Available. Here's the screenshot of that :

Something that work for me; Try to delete advertisement and re-run it (re-advertise). Try push installation client for machine. Try to force machine policies in client machine if client got windows xp/2000pro sp4. There might be setting in advertisement that says, "never rerun advertisement". If you ran advertisement once and want to run advertisement again, change this option in advertisement (properties->Schedule) and after changing, re-run advertisement in collection. Hope this helps.

You may have already done this, but double check the Advertisement - General tab and make sure that the "Make this task sequence available to boot media and PXE" is checked. That has tripped me up a time or two.

I had that happen to me, and I just deleted the computer record from SCCM and created a new computer association with the PC's MAC and GUID. Worked fine after that.

Did you ever figure this one out. I have had it happen on two computers now, that I imaged from CD several times during testing, and then all of the sudden, it will say there are no task sequences anymore. I delete the computer and it still thinks it is a part of the SCCM site. Eric

I have run into this issue many times and I can usually fix it by deleting the computer record from SCCM. However I ran into an issue where it was happening on this one system and I could not fix it. The BIOS was out of date so I decided to update it. After updating it, the process is working just fine.

sounds to me like the computer is ending up becoming obsolete, i usually fix obsolete computers via a query as in this post which does refer to abortPXE but it will give you the idea of what I'm talking about, maybe it will help ?my SCCM step by step Guides > http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1064

WOW!!! Thanks... that stupid checkmark box... Also with me when I was adding a bare metal machine with computer association it was being put in "unprovisioned computers" I deleted it from unprovisioned computers and then it was showing up in the collection I wanted it in.
