You can set the "retry settings" of package distribution.
In the Administration node - Site Configuration - Sites - Right Click on the site and chose Configure site Components - Software distribution.
Ok, below are my settings which i think is the default settings. Correct me if im wrong but below is what i understand from the definition
Maximum number of packages = the number of packages that can be distributed at one go. So if mine is 3, meaning the 4th package will be in queue waiting until the 3rd package finishes correct?
Maximum threads per package = the number of DP's that per package can be distributed at one go correct?

Maximum number of packages: Specifies the maximum number of packages that Configuration Manager 2007 copies, in parallel.
Maximum threads per package: Specifies the maximum number of threads allocated to each package during distribution.
I found the information above in the document of SCCM 2007. It should be also applied to SCCM 2012, I think.
