False heartbeat alerts from our DMZ agents
Hello, we're running SCOM 2007 R2 on windows 2008 Server R2 and SQL 2008 R2 SP1. Every day we're experiencing false heartbeat alerts coming from the DMZ which is driving our on call engineers crazy. It comes through as a new alert and the closed one follows about 3-5min after. During this time I do get the message from our management servers, "Event data collection process unable to store data in the Data Warehouse in a timely manner." We have a mixed environment of windows and Linux/Unix. We have the Linux/Unix boxes reporting back on a seperate Management Server. In the DMZ we have a gateway server that communicates with the internal MS. I've spent countless hours with Microsoft a while back and never did get a resolution for this. I initially thought that McAfee was the culprit as it seems to be around the same time McAfee restarts. I'm digging deep here for some answers if anyone has any idea of what could possibly be going on here!!
