How to avoid Auto Run with Default Parameters
Hi,
My report hasdefault values for all parameters (ofcourse. which can be modified by user). When I try to view the preview, the report is running with the default values automatically. I want the report to run only when we click "View Report".

I don't now how you can avoid this, but I try to set the default parmeters in the Report Manager, before running ask the parameters.

Ya,
But it's likequarterly report. The parameters remain same all the time. The user just need to check the parameters before running report.

There is no way to do this via Report Manager. This request has been asked several times and is on our wish list for a future version. The only workaround is to not specify all the defaults.

You could set defaults for all but 1 parameter. That way the users only have to make one selection before running a report

Or as a hack, create a dummy parameter called "Run Report" or something like that, with no default valueand make sure it does not allow blank value. It should render as a blank text box or if you change it to boolean as radio buttons. Not pretty but it works.

If you are refering to reports running when all default values are set, RS continues to run this way.
