What exactly do you understand as dashboard. If you want to display multiple tables from different data sources on one page with additional graphics and color coding, then yes, you can create those dashboards with SSRS!Some useful links:http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/learn-sql-server/beginning-sql-server-2005-reporting-services-part-1/http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/learn-sql-server/beginning-sql-server-2005-reporting-services-part-2/http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/learn-sql-server/beginning-sql-server-2005-reporting-services-part-3/http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/learn-sql-server/beginning-sql-server-2005-reporting-services-part-4/

Hi.There arn't any dashboard by default in SSRS.You can only use simple graphs. If you want to add dashboard you need to use third partty component like DUNDAS (google it. Its cost money. a lot of money).Roy.

Yes, that's correct, quite expensive ;-)But you can create look-a-like dashboards by setting up multiple tables and graphics in one report. The interactivity of the data access and the use of parameters for each table is limited though... I use some kind of dashboard for our marketing department, displaying turnover, brand status, interactive sorting, additional customer informations in different tables with different charts and subreports as well as drill-down functionality to explore detail data. Looks pretty good If you ask me and our marketing department is very satisfied, too!If you have further questions, feel free to contact me...

Thanks in advance Thanks, Senthil multiple datasets: go to the data-tab in your reporting project. click the dataset dropdown-button above your sql-statement. then click on <new dataset> ;-) you can now name the dataset and enter the sql-statement. the dataset appears in the dataset-window in the report-layout. city hidden/passing parameters: open the properties of state-field. then navigate to the navigation-tab and choose hyperlink action. choose the report from the dropdown menu. then click on parameters to the right and enter a parameter name and choose the field you'd like to pass through. In this case the field would be city. Hope that helps?

Hi Guys, I have the same task to do, but the links are dead. The links given above if i click shows 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Does anybody have updated links or mirror links that would be helpful for me. Thanks, FunBI
